This viewership represents an impressive 86% jump compared to the prior season, achieving the league's highest numbers in 24 years. Average viewership per game also saw a 35% increase, reaching its highest point in 13 years.
Further demonstrating heightened fan engagement, total hours watched exceeded 920 million, a 25% increase and the most since the 2011-12 season. NBA social media channels also set new records with 228 billion views.
The positive trend extends to live attendance, with the last three seasons showing the highest aggregate attendance in NBA history. Even the NBA Cup group play games experienced a 90% viewership increase, and the All-Star Game broadcast drew its largest audience since 2011.
