Summary

- Beukema set to be Napoli's second signing after Lorenzo Lucca
- Napoli to pay around €30m for the Dutch defender

Napoli are making preparations for the medical tests of Dutch defender Sam Beukema, who is set to become the club's second signing of the summer transfer window. The defending Serie A champions have already booked medical examinations for Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca, and Beukema is now poised to join him at the Villa Stuart facility in Rome.
Sources close to the matter have revealed that Napoli have identified Beukema as their top priority target in central defense. The 24-year-old has just completed his second season in Italy's top flight with Bologna, where he helped the club win the Coppa Italia in the 2024-25 campaign.
Napoli are expected to pay a fee of around €30m to secure Beukema's services, as they continue to bolster their squad ahead of the new season. The Partenopei have already announced the signings of Kevin De Bruyne and Luca Marianucci, and they are also set to welcome Noa Lang from PSV in the coming days.
The addition of Beukema will provide Napoli with further defensive solidity as they look to defend their Serie A title and make a strong push in the Champions League next season.
