On October 13, 2025, South African spinner Senuran Muthusamy shone with a career-best haul of 6-117 to help dismiss Pakistan for 378 on the second day of the first cricket test. Muthusamy bowled a triple-wicket maiden over, as Pakistan slumped from 362-5 to 362-8.
Earlier, Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq made 93 on the first day, while captain Shan Masood scored 76 in a 161-run partnership. On the second day, Salman Ali Agha narrowly missed out on a century, falling for 93 when he holed out to Muthusamy. Agha and Mohammad Rizwan (75) had extended their sixth-wicket partnership to 163 before Rizwan edged Muthusamy behind.
South Africa then reached 10-0 in four tricky overs before lunch, as Pakistan went straight with the left-arm spin of Noman Ali, who shared the new ball with Shaheen Shah Afridi on the abrasive wicket.
