Chasing a target of 243, the hosts were bowled out for 207 on the final day of the Elite Group-D fixture. Despite a 53-run stand between Qamran Iqbal and Paras Dogra for the third wicket, Mumbai regained control when Shardul Thakur brought in the spin pairing of Mulani and Tanush Kotian.
The match saw a dramatic incident when Qamran was given out for obstructing the field after using his hand to intercept a throw from Sarfaraz Khan. Although Qamran pleaded innocence, the dismissal stood, and he was eventually allowed to continue as Mumbai withdrew the appeal.

Mulani went on to dismiss Dogra, Abdul Samad, and Kanhaiya Wadhawan before the lunch break, leaving J&K reeling at 127 for 5. The left-arm spinner continued his dominance in the second session, cleaning up Qamran, Abid Mushtaq, and Yudhvir Singh to complete his seven-wicket haul and secure a tense victory for Mumbai.
