PSL Franchise Locked Out of Renewal Talks

Multan Sultans owner Ali Khan Tareen has publicly accused Pakistan Super League (PSL) management of deliberately excluding his franchise from the crucial valuation and renewal process. Tareen highlighted that while other teams have received their renewal letters, the Sultans have been met with silence, despite multiple formal and legal communications over the past month. This lack of engagement has left the franchise in limbo regarding its future participation.

Tareen expressed his frustration, noting that even other PSL franchise representatives have inquired about Multan's exclusion. He explained that the issue has gone public due to the management's refusal to engage privately, suggesting that the matter could have been easily resolved through informal discussions. The owner indicated that the franchise is considering legal action as a last resort if the current impasse persists.

This dispute follows recent exchanges between Tareen and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding a breach of contract allegation, which the Sultans had dismissed. As the PSL moves towards a critical phase, the standoff between the franchise and the league management creates uncertainty for the Multan Sultans' involvement.
