Mourinho: Real Madrid WILL win trophies!

Jose Mourinho has expressed his unwavering confidence that Real Madrid will secure trophies during his second tenure, despite the team's current standing. As of October 24, 2026, Real Madrid trails arch-rivals Barcelona by six points in LaLiga.

Mourinho characterized the current Real Madrid squad as a "product in progress," suggesting it is unfair to compare them to Barcelona, a team that has been together for several years. He noted that while Barcelona has maintained a perfect league record and boasts an impressive goal-scoring rate, his team is developing.

Despite a midweek Champions League victory against RB Leipzig, Mourinho downplayed its impact on the upcoming El Clasico. He acknowledged that external opinions may not shift easily. Barcelona's manager, Hansi Flick, is aiming for his 100th win and potentially a new LaLiga record, though he dismissed the significance of his team's recent Champions League loss.
