10 Oct
Summary
- Mount Carmel showed resilience after a difficult start to 2025.
- The Red Tornadoes secured a crucial win against a strong Southern Columbia team.
- The team aims for its first district football title since 2011.
The Mount Carmel Red Tornadoes have showcased a remarkable 'it' factor, culminating in a significant victory over Southern Columbia. This win is particularly noteworthy given the team's struggles during a 1-4 start to the 2025 season, where they were outscored significantly. Their recent triumph over the Tigers, despite Southern Columbia dominating possession, underscores their determination.
The Red Tornadoes are now setting their sights on a long-awaited achievement: their first district football title since 2011. This season's success is a testament to their growth and resilience. Future challenges include facing Montoursville, who defeated them twice last season, and the highly anticipated 'Coal Bucket' game later in the month.
