Miller's Grit: Motorcycle Racer Returns Post-Crash
19 Jul
Summary
- Miller returned to racing after a severe May 15 crash.
- His recovery included healing a ripped lower lip and shoulder nerve damage.
- He competed at his home track in Millville on July 16.

Professional motorcycle racer Henry Miller returned to the track on July 16 at the Pro Nationals in Millville, just over two months after a serious practice crash on May 15. The incident occurred at Glen Helen Raceway, resulting in a torn lower lip and a significant blow to his face, though his helmet prevented a concussion.
Miller's recovery has been complicated by lingering nerve damage in his right shoulder and arm, impacting muscle function. Despite this, he competed at his home track, a venue where he has historically performed well. He moved from Texas to southern Georgia recently, adding logistical challenges to his return to racing.
The 250SX East competitor finished 23rd overall in his return race. He plans to compete in the remaining four rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross season, concluding on August 29. Miller continues his partnership with MX6 Racing, based in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., for the rest of the championship.
