Golden State Warriors swingman Moses Moody sustained a left knee injury with just over a minute remaining in overtime against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. The injury occurred as Moody was dribbling towards the basket for a breakaway dunk when he collapsed to the floor in apparent pain.
Concerned teammates immediately signaled for medical attention, and the game was stopped for several minutes. A stretcher was brought onto the court to transport Moody to the locker room, where he is being evaluated.
This unfortunate event comes as Moody was making his return to play for the first time since March 2nd, having recovered from a wrist injury. In his return game, Moody had recorded 23 points, three rebounds, and three assists in 34 minutes of play.
