Edgar Lastre, the top scorer for CD Moquegua, has emphasized the significant motivational boost provided by the upcoming match against Universitario in the Torneo Apertura 2026. This fixture, set for Date 16, is considered one of the season's bigger tests for the club.
Lastre, who has recorded five goals and three assists in 14 matches this season, stated that facing a team like Universitario provides a distinct advantage. CD Moquegua has collectively reviewed Universitario's recent game against Nacional, observing their tactical approach. However, Lastre also noted that Universitario faces its own challenges, suggesting the match will hinge on which team can better address their weaknesses.
