19 Oct
Summary
- Cagliari, unbeaten in four, holds 13 points from six games.
- Monza, with four points, has the league's second-worst defense.

In a Serie A encounter, Monza plays host to Cagliari at the U-Power Stadium. Ivan Juric's Monza has struggled upon their return to the top flight, accumulating just four points from six matches. Their defense has been particularly porous, conceding 15 goals, the second-worst record in the division, though Gustavo Varela has been a bright spot with four goals.
Cagliari, on the other hand, has been a revelation this season. They have secured 13 points from their first six games and are currently on a four-match unbeaten streak, most recently drawing with Juventus. Daniel Maldini, who has scored four goals in six appearances, is set to face his former club.
Monza's squad sees changes due to suspensions and injuries, with Lorenzo Lucchesi absent and Saba Goglichidze entering the back three. Cagliari also faces absences due to injuries and a suspension for Fabio Pisacane, leading to an amended lineup in defense and attack.
