The Montreal Canadiens are moving forward with securing their young core by preparing to sign four important restricted free agents. This strategic focus comes after a surprising playoff run by the team's young roster, generating significant optimism for the future.
Securing new deals for forwards Joseph Veleno, Kirby Dach, and Zack Bolduc, along with defenseman Arber Xhekaj, is a priority. While not the most critical players, their solid contributions make retaining them a logical step.
Following these contract negotiations, the Canadiens intend to add veteran players to complement their developing roster. This approach emphasizes continuity and organic growth as the best path forward for the team.
