Kernels' Tennis Dominates Regular Season Finale

The Mitchell High School girls tennis team ended their regular season on a high note, defeating Brandon Valley 7-2.
This victory improved the Kernels' dual record to an impressive 16-4, capping off a strong finish with wins in five of their last six duals.
Mitchell showcased their skill by winning five out of six singles matches. Key singles victories came from Mia Larson (10-0), Elliot Smith (10-1), and Charlee Cimpl (10-1). The team also secured two out of three doubles matches, with Larson and Smith winning their Flight 2 doubles contest 10-1.
The Kernels will now transition to tournament play. They are set to compete in the Eastern South Dakota Conference tournament starting September 28th in Sioux Falls, followed by the Class AA state tennis tournament in Rapid City on October 8th-9th.
