Twins Lose Key Exec Adler Amidst Front Office Shakeup

Minnesota Twins assistant general manager Daniel Adler and the team have mutually agreed to end their professional relationship. Adler initially joined the Twins in 2017, progressing through roles in baseball research and development before his promotion to assistant GM in late 2019. His responsibilities later expanded into business operations in February 2025, a role that was redistributed earlier this year following Derek Falvey's departure on January 30, 2026.

Following these changes, Adler returned to a baseball operations-focused position with reduced responsibilities in February 2026. Recognizing that the new role was not aligned with his long-term aspirations and that his position was diminishing, Adler initiated his search for other opportunities. This situation has led to assistant GM Alex Hassan assuming a more prominent role in baseball operations, including increased travel and collaboration with general manager Jeremy Zoll.

Adler's departure marks the second high-profile exit from the Twins this week, with senior advisor Deron Johnson also having been let go on Monday. Johnson, a longtime scout, previously served as the club's amateur scouting director. The Twins have indicated they will not replace Johnson's advisory role, while it remains uncertain whether Adler's position will be filled.
