Mimcilovic's Record Shatters 3-Point History

Iowa State's Milan Momcilovic etched his name in the record books during the 2025-26 men's college basketball season. He established a new program record for 3-pointers made in a single season, sinking an impressive 136 shots from beyond the arc. Momcilovic led the nation in this category, attempting 7.5 threes per game and converting an outstanding 48.7% of them. This remarkable blend of volume and efficiency is historically significant, making him the only player since the 3-point line's inception to achieve over 130 makes while shooting at least 48%.

Following his historic campaign, Momcilovic declared for the 2026 NBA Draft but ultimately withdrew his name after receiving feedback. His decision to test the draft waters, however, meant he could not return to Iowa State due to roster management timelines. Consequently, Momcilovic entered the transfer portal and committed to the Kentucky Wildcats for his senior season. He is now set to join a Kentucky team under coach Mark Pope, where his unparalleled shooting prowess could see him challenge Jodie Meeks' single-season record of 117 threes made.
