This sighting occurred shortly after Vrabel's termination from the Titans on January 9, 2026. Both Vrabel and Russini were married to other people when the casino photos were taken.

Earlier controversies arose in April 2026 when Vrabel and Russini were photographed holding hands in Arizona, an interaction Vrabel described as innocent. Amidst these developments, Russini resigned from her reporting position on April 14, 2026, following an investigation by her employer. She stated her decision was to avoid further damage from escalating speculation.
