Summary
- Michigan football lands 2027 commitment from 3-star OL Tristan Dare
- Dare chose Michigan over Ohio State, Penn State, and Oklahoma
- Michigan has had success recruiting and developing offensive linemen

On August 5th, 2025, the Michigan football team received a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Tristan Dare for their 2027 recruiting class. Dare, a 6'4", 290-pound prospect from Southlake, Texas, chose the Wolverines over offers from Big Ten powerhouses Ohio State and Penn State, as well as Oklahoma.
Dare's commitment is a significant win for Michigan, as the program has established itself as one of the premier destinations for elite offensive line talent in recent years. The Wolverines have won the prestigious Joe Moore Award, given to the best offensive line in college football, in both 2021 and 2022, and their offensive line was among the nation's best in 2023 as well.
This success in developing offensive linemen and sending them to the NFL has not gone unnoticed by recruits like Dare. Michigan's ability to produce pro-ready offensive linemen was a key factor in Dare's decision to join the Wolverines' 2027 class. With two years of high school remaining, Dare has plenty of time to continue honing his skills before arriving in Ann Arbor, but he is already confident that Michigan is the right fit for him.
