Michigan is making significant strides in its recruitment of top defensive line prospects for the 2028 class. The Wolverines are set to host Aedyn Havili, a highly-touted 2028 recruit ranked No. 54 nationally and No. 7 among defensive linemen. Hakili, who impressed at a Michigan camp this summer, will visit during the Week 2 Oklahoma game to experience the game day atmosphere and team's response to adversity. He is in constant contact with the defensive staff, including new coordinator Jay Hill. Further bolstering their 2028 defensive line class, Michigan has also secured a visit from Tory Clark, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound lineman from Atlanta. Clark, ranked No. 39 nationally among defensive linemen, will visit on the weekend of October 24th for the Indiana game. Clark expressed interest in Michigan's tradition, winning culture, and player development, noting his existing strong connection with new position coach Larry Black, which predates Black's tenure at Michigan. The Wolverines are also gaining traction with other elite 2028 targets, including Cassell Cruickshank, the No. 11 overall prospect and No. 3 edge rusher. Cruickshank plans to visit Michigan, citing its tradition and winning culture.
