The Michigan Wolverines are set to commence their national title defense on Monday, November 2nd, against the Oakland Grizzlies. This season opener will feature the debut of new head coach Mike Boynton, who takes the helm after leading the team through a period of significant roster changes.
Michigan returns only one starter from last season, Elliot Cadeau, but bolstered by experienced players like Trey McKenney and Roddy Gayle. The Wolverines are heavily favored, entering the game as 26.5-point favorites over Oakland. The Grizzlies, picked fourth in their conference preseason poll, have also undergone substantial roster turnover, bringing in several transfers.
