Michael Duff Set for Bradford City Manager Role
5 Oct
Summary
- Michael Duff, former Wycombe boss, is set to be Bradford City's new manager.
- He replaces Graham Alexander, who left for Preston North End.
- Duff has previous managerial experience with Cheltenham, Barnsley, Swansea, and Huddersfield.
Bradford City is reportedly set to appoint Michael Duff, formerly of Wycombe Wanderers, as their new manager. The 48-year-old is expected to fill the vacancy left by Graham Alexander, who has departed for Preston North End. Duff's managerial career includes spells at Cheltenham Town, Barnsley, Swansea City, and Huddersfield Town.
Duff led Cheltenham to promotion from League Two in his first managerial role and later managed Barnsley, reaching the League One play-off final. His time at Swansea was brief, and his recent tenure with Huddersfield Town also ended prematurely. He was appointed by Wycombe last September, guiding them to an 11th-place finish before his recent departure after a winless start to the current season.
The Bantams are currently second in League One, level on points with leaders Plymouth Argyle. The club views Duff as capable of continuing their high-energy 3-4-3 formation, a style that has seen them ascend from League Two to the top end of League One.
