Miami (Ohio) eyes undefeated season
7 Mar
Summary
- Miami (Ohio) aims for a perfect regular season.
- This is the Redhawks' final regular season test.
- Undefeated season last achieved by Gonzaga in 2020-21.
The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks are pursuing an undefeated regular season, with their next game against rival Ohio serving as the ultimate challenge. The Redhawks previously secured a 90-74 victory over Ohio on February 13.
This upcoming road game on Friday at 9 p.m. ET is Miami's last regular-season contest before the MAC tournament. If successful, they would achieve a flawless regular season, a feat not accomplished since Gonzaga in the 2020-21 season.
Despite their perfect record, the Redhawks' NCAA Tournament prospects and potential seeding are still being evaluated. A relatively weak non-conference schedule and less favorable metrics mean their tournament hopes are not yet guaranteed, even as they aim for perfection.
