Henderson's 30 Points Fuel Miami's Dominant Win

Miami secured a dominant 98-81 victory against Florida International on Tuesday, extending their winning streak to five games. Freshman Shelton Henderson was the standout performer, scoring a career-high 30 points on efficient 10-of-12 shooting from the field and perfect 10-of-11 from the free-throw line. Malik Reneau also had a strong offensive showing with 22 points, complementing Henderson's performance.

The Hurricanes took control in the second half after a closely contested first half that ended in a 43-43 tie. Miami outscored FIU 13-5 to start the second half, building a lead they would not relinquish. Despite FIU's efforts to close the gap, Miami's offensive firepower, including 19-for-31 shooting from the field after halftime, proved too much for their city rivals.

This victory marks the eighth consecutive win for Miami against Florida International. The Hurricanes have now scored 90 points or more six times this season, showcasing their potent offense. FIU's top scorers were Corey Stephenson with 23 points and Julian Mackey with 17 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Miami's consistent scoring.
