With the outfield identified as a major weakness, MLB insider Ken Rosenthal suggested the Mets might pivot to short-term solutions like Harrison Bader or explore a trade with the Boston Red Sox. Bader, known for his defense and recent offensive production, could stabilize the position. Trade rumors have also linked the Mets to Boston's Jarren Duran, who offers speed and offensive upside, while other potential targets like Cody Bellinger and Luis Robert Jr. appear less likely due to competition or team demands.
