Melbourne Storm has confirmed the immediate signing of Oryn Keeley, a second rower who previously played for the Dolphins. Keeley had already committed to a two-year contract with the Storm beginning in the 2027 season.
He has now been granted an early release from the Dolphins after experiencing a lack of playing time. Keeley has played 28 NRL games since his debut in 2022. Injuries had previously elevated his role within the Dolphins' forward pack in 2025.
However, this year, he has seen limited action, making only six appearances. His move to the Storm is expected to strengthen Melbourne's pack as they aim for a top-eight finish. Director of Football Frank Ponissi expressed delight at securing Keeley earlier than anticipated.
