In a remarkable display of athleticism, 23-year-old Megan Keith has set a new women's European 10km record. This new record surpasses the previous mark held by Scottish compatriot Eilish McColgan, who finished sixth in the same event. Keith's performance marks a significant milestone in her career. She previously competed in the 10,000m at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, finishing tenth, and secured a second-place finish at the European Cross Country Championships in Portugal last December. The Castellon race was won by Caroline Gitonga of Kenya in 29:34, followed by fellow Kenyan Nelvin Jepkemboi, and Ethiopia's Chaltu Dida in third place.
