The Cowboys, seeded second, controlled the game from the start, never trailing and establishing a significant lead by halftime. Garcia's stellar performance, coupled with 18 points from Larry Johnson and 17 from Tyshawn Archie, secured the championship.
This marks the fifth time in program history that McNeese will compete in the NCAA Tournament. They join an elite group, being the first team in a decade to reach and win three consecutive Southland Tournament finals.
