Mbappe Wins Onze d'Or 2026 with Overwhelming Fan Support

Kylian Mbappe has been awarded the Onze d'Or 2026, a testament to his outstanding season with Real Madrid and his significant fan support. He garnered an impressive 48.2% of the over two million votes cast on the Onze Mondial website, comfortably surpassing rivals.

This victory adds another prestigious individual honor to Mbappe's career. His performance this past season included scoring more than 40 goals for Real Madrid and a record-breaking World Cup campaign, solidifying his status as a top contender for the Ballon d'Or.

Mbappe expressed his gratitude, viewing the Onze d'Or as recognition for his hard work and motivation to improve. He emphasized the crucial role of fans in football, highlighting the satisfaction of providing entertainment. He also acknowledged joining an elite group of past winners like Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a personal revelation, Mbappe shared an unusual habit: playing without insoles, a practice he has continued since childhood, despite access to custom footwear. He humorously advised young players against adopting this habit.
