Vernon Maxwell, a two-time NBA champion, has voiced strong criticism against Taylor Swift, directly attributing Travis Kelce's performance issues to her influence. Maxwell asserted on the "All the Smoke" podcast that Swift is detrimental to Kelce's career, controversially stating that the tight end's legs are compromised because of their relationship. This sentiment highlights a recurring theme where Swift is cited for Kelce's on-field struggles.

Maxwell's comments come as the Kansas City Chiefs face a challenging season, currently holding a 6-7 record and on a two-game losing streak. Despite the team's difficulties, Travis Kelce has achieved 60 receptions for 727 yards and five touchdowns, maintaining an average of 12.1 yards per reception. This individual performance record stands in contrast to the external blame being placed upon his relationship.

This criticism of Swift's impact on Kelce is not new, with former NBA player Gilbert Arenas also previously blaming the singer for Kelce's slump.
