Muncy Injured Again in Dizzying Collision

Max Muncy experienced another painful exit from a game on Thursday, colliding head-first with first baseman Ildemaro Vargas. Muncy was taken out due to shortness of breath and a possible concussion, visibly bleeding from his face. This incident occurred just 14 days after he sustained a fastball injury to his wrist.

Fortunately, Muncy was able to leave the field under his own power. However, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Muncy would miss the upcoming opener against the Angels. Muncy also addressed the collision and his status post-game.

The Dodgers suffered a 3-2 walk-off defeat on Thursday when Tanner Scott allowed a home run to Ketel Marte in the bottom of the ninth. This loss marked the Dodgers' second defeat in their last six games.

Prior to the late-game drama, pitcher Justin Wrobleski delivered a dominant performance. The left-hander followed Shohei Ohtani by pitching six scoreless innings, allowing six hits and striking out four, earning a no-decision. Wrobleski expressed satisfaction with his game plan and execution against Arizona.
