Summary

- Dennis joins from League One rivals Notts County for an undisclosed fee.
- He scored 14 goals and provided two assists for Notts last season.
Burton Albion has completed the signing of forward Matthew Dennis from fellow League One club Notts County. The transfer fee remains undisclosed, but Dennis, aged 24, has agreed to a three-year contract at the Pirelli Stadium, with an additional 12-month option.
Last season, Dennis was a key player for Notts County, netting 14 goals and contributing two assists. His performances had generated significant interest, with Burton reportedly having a bid rejected during the winter transfer window.
Despite a late-season dip in form that saw him lose favor for Notts' promotion play-offs, Burton's sporting director Richard Dorman expressed excitement about the signing, noting Dennis's previous experience in the division and strong athletic presence.
Head coach Gary Bowyer highlighted that Dennis brings "genuine pace" and goal-scoring acumen, fitting the profile of hungry players the club seeks to add to its squad.
