Almeyda's Mexican Comeback: Two Clubs Vie for Coach

Matias Almeyda is once again a focal point in Mexican football, as both Club América and Rayados de Monterrey are reportedly interested in hiring him. His recent departure from Sevilla, following a challenging tenure where the team struggled, has made him available. Almeyda's strong reputation in Mexico, stemming from his successful period with Chivas, fuels this renewed interest.

Club América is considering Almeyda as a potential alternative if coach André Jardine's position weakens, valuing his record with young Mexican players. However, a move to América would carry symbolic weight given Almeyda's association with rival Chivas.
