The Premier League clash between Arsenal and Liverpool ended in a dramatic 0-0 draw, marred by controversy surrounding Gabriel Martinelli's actions.
Martinelli drew significant criticism from former players like Daniel Sturridge, Roy Keane, and Gary Neville for his conduct towards an injured Conor Bradley. Pundits universally condemned the behaviour as "disgraceful" and "disrespectful," escalating into a mass brawl during stoppage time.
While Liverpool manager Arne Slot offered a more forgiving perspective, acknowledging potential time-wasting tactics in football, the consensus remained that player safety and respect should take precedence, especially given the context of an injury.
