During his 2025 rookie season, Simpson appeared in 31 games and recorded a 7.34 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP over 30.2 innings pitched. He also had a 36:22 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Simpson is slated to start the 2026 season with Triple-A Tacoma. However, he could be recalled to the major league roster if the Mariners need an additional left-handed arm in their bullpen.
