Bloomfield Hills Marian is on a mission to avenge their 1-0 loss in the 2022 Division 2 girls soccer state championship. This preparation has translated into a dominant postseason performance, marked by shutouts and high-scoring victories.
Fueled by the memory of the past defeat, the Mustangs enter the state semifinals with 13 players returning from their 2022 state finals appearance. This seasoned group, including five seniors, is focused on securing the program's 10th state title. Their resilience and determination are hallmarks of this year's squad, as they aim to reclaim the championship.
The team's motivation stems from multiple recent setbacks, including a district final loss last year. This has reinforced their belief that success must be earned through consistent hard work and dedication.
