In their final match of their U.S. preseason tour, Manchester United played out a 2-2 draw against Everton at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on August 3, 2025. United had previously won their first two tour games against West Ham United and Bournemouth.
The Red Devils twice took the lead through a Bruno Fernandes penalty and a goal from new signing Mason Mount, but Everton fought back on both occasions. Iliman Ndiaye equalized for the Toffees before a late own goal from Ayden Heaven earned them a share of the spoils.
Despite the result, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim can be encouraged by his team's overall form during the tour. The United boss handed a debut to new signing Bryan Mbeumo and also featured fellow new arrival Matheus Cunha in the front three.
Everton, on the other hand, have endured a frustrating preseason, having lost their first two games against Bournemouth and West Ham. Manager David Moyes has stated that he needs "nine or 10" new players before the transfer window closes.
