Summary
- Manchester United set £50M asking price for Alejandro Garnacho
- Chelsea in talks to sign Garnacho, who only wants to join the Blues
- Chelsea also negotiating with Leipzig for Xavi Simons

As of August 8th, 2025, Manchester United have informed Chelsea that they must meet a £50 million asking price if they want to sign Alejandro Garnacho this summer. The 22-year-old Argentine winger is a top target for the Blues, who have been in negotiations with Garnacho, who only wants to join Chelsea.
Chelsea have been busy in the transfer window, having already completed four signings in Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gittens. The Blues are also close to securing a deal for Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, with the 22-year-old Dutch midfielder keen on the move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are looking to add eight or nine attacking options to their squad as they prepare to return to the Champions League next season. While the immediate priority is to finalize the Simons deal, the club is also determined to bring in Garnacho, despite Manchester United's firm stance on their £50 million valuation. Chelsea, however, are reportedly only willing to pay up to £30 million for the Argentine.
