Man Utd Linked with Surprise Free Transfer for Rudiger

Manchester United are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger as a free agent. This interest emerges as the club prepares for the potential departure of Casemiro, though United's preference is for younger signings in midfield.

Rudiger, a former Chelsea centre-back who has won two Champions League titles, is expected to leave Real Madrid without a transfer fee. This has alerted several clubs, including Manchester United and Liverpool, who are considering bringing the experienced defender back to England.

Juventus, managed by Luciano Spalletti, are also strong suitors for Rudiger. However, Premier League clubs like Manchester United may possess greater financial power, potentially hindering Juventus's pursuit.

The situation regarding Rudiger's future appears intertwined with Harry Maguire's contract negotiations at Manchester United. Reports suggest Maguire's contract extension is nearing agreement, which could reduce competition for Rudiger if Juventus are less concerned about United's pursuit.
