Kingsbury, who previously served as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, is now available after mutually agreeing to part ways with the Washington Commanders. Mahomes has spoken highly of Kingsbury, calling him "one of the first people that truly believed in me" during their time at Texas Tech University, where Kingsbury coached him from 2013 to 2018.
