Vijay Gujar, a seasoned boxing coach from Pune, has been elected chairman of the Maharashtra Boxing Association. Furthermore, Gujar highlighted the inadequate facilities provided to coaches and athletes during events. A key priority is to address faulty officiating decisions and eliminate bias, thereby fostering trust among young boxers.

He plans to improve logistical support for athletes, particularly concerning confirmed railway reservations to ensure comfortable travel. Gujar expressed his commitment to strengthening the boxing system in the state.
