Magnitude recently completed a five-furlong workout at Keeneland, clocking in at 1:00.60. This preparation is aimed at getting him ready for the Breeders' Cup Classic on October 31, which will be held at the same track.
Jockey Flavien Prat rode Magnitude for the first time during this workout and is scheduled to partner with him for the Breeders' Cup Classic. Prat will be taking over from Jose Ortiz, who opted to ride Golden Tempo. Prat expressed satisfaction with the breeze, noting Magnitude's good movement and balance.
The four-year-old colt has had a successful season, including victories in the Dubai World Cup and the Stephen Foster Stakes earlier in the year. Following a sixth-place finish in the Whitney Stakes, trainer Steve Asmussen decided to give Magnitude a break and train him directly up to the Classic.
