Summary
- Luis Palma transfers to Lech Poznan, breaking their record.
- Palma scored 12 goals and 10 assists last season.
- Lech Poznan secured the winger with a transfer clause.
Luis Palma is finalizing a permanent transfer to Polish club Lech Poznan, marking a club-record deal for the Ekstraklasa side. The winger, who joined Celtic in the summer of 2023, has spent the past two seasons away from Parkhead. His performances last season with Lech Poznan were exceptional, netting 12 goals and contributing ten assists across competitions, significantly aiding the club's league title victory.
Lech Poznan had previously identified Palma as a priority target and sought a discount on his buy-out clause. However, Celtic reportedly stood firm on the price, which is estimated to be between €4 million and €4.5 million. Despite interest from Spanish club Sevilla, Lech Poznan's possession of a key clause has now given them the advantage to secure the Honduran international on a permanent basis, with Palma having two years remaining on his Celtic contract.
