As of November 15, 2025, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have retained 19 players for the upcoming IPL 2026 auction. The team's captain, Rishabh Pant, and wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran were the costliest retentions, with Pant being retained for INR 27 crore and Pooran for INR 21 crore.
LSG has also continued to show faith in promising fast bowler Mayank Yadav, retaining him for a whopping INR 11 crore despite him playing just two matches last year. The team has also retained Avesh Khan for INR 9.75 crore.
Among the uncapped players, Ayush Badoni, a Delhi-born player, has been retained for INR 4 crore, indicating the team's belief in his potential. Promising leg-spinner Digvesh Rathi has also been retained for a base price.
Additionally, LSG has acquired Mohammad Shami and Arjun Tendulkar via trade and transfer deals from SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI), respectively. The duo has arrived for their existing price of INR 10 crore and INR 30 lakh, respectively.
The team has released some big names, including Ravi Bishnoi (INR 11 crore), Akash Deep (INR 8 crore), and David Miller (INR 7.5 crore), as they look to build a stronger squad for the upcoming season.
