Four-star edge rusher Jaiden Bryant, ranked as the top prospect at his position for the 2027 cycle, has announced his commitment to the LSU Tigers. The highly sought-after recruit selected LSU over a competitive field of elite programs, including Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson. His decision comes shortly after LSU officially added defensive line coach Sterling Lucas to their staff.
Lucas, a highly regarded recruiter and defensive assistant, was instrumental in Bryant's recruitment, having served as his primary recruiter while at South Carolina. The addition of Lucas to Lane Kiffin's staff in Baton Rouge proved decisive in securing Bryant's commitment to the Tigers.
Bryant's impressive sophomore season in 2024, where he recorded 94 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and 18.5 sacks, solidified his status as a top national prospect. His pledge makes him the second commitment for LSU in the 2027 class.
