LSU's 2027 recruiting class has gained momentum with the commitment of 3-star running back Brennen Lacey. This marks the second commitment for the Tigers' 2027 class on the recruiting trail. Lacey, originally from Frisco, Texas, made his official visit to Baton Rouge over the weekend, building on a previous visit in April.
His recruitment highlights a strong offer sheet, including programs like Notre Dame, Miami, TCU, Florida, and Texas Tech. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 187 pounds, Lacey possesses excellent speed and versatility. As a sophomore, he recorded a 10.91-second 100-meter dash and has demonstrated an ability to make explosive plays in space, making him a valuable addition to LSU's offensive scheme.
This commitment is expected to be the first of several for LSU at the running back position in the 2027 cycle. The Tigers are actively pursuing other top talents, including Trey Martin, who is considered the No. 1 running back in Louisiana.
