LSU Stars Shine in Dominant 63-14 Win

LSU's football team secured a decisive 63-14 victory over McNeese State, providing a valuable platform to evaluate emerging talent. The Tigers amassed an impressive 731 total yards, with 367 on the ground and 364 through the air, converting all seven red zone trips into touchdowns. Running back Stacy Gage significantly boosted his standing by accumulating 110 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, showcasing explosive playmaking ability with long scoring runs.

True freshman wide receiver Corey Barber Jr. also made a notable impact, leading the team with seven receptions for 83 yards and two touchdowns, a substantial increase from his previous production. Running back Harlem Berry contributed significantly with a career-high 125 rushing yards and a touchdown, averaging 8.3 yards per carry and continuing to demonstrate his value to the offense.

However, not all players enhanced their prospects. Wide receiver Jackson Harris saw a dip in production compared to his previous standout performance, recording four catches for 37 yards. While not a poor showing, it did not continue the momentum from his breakout game against Texas A&M. These performances offer crucial insights as LSU prepares to re-enter SEC play against Kentucky.
