Louisville Volleyball has solidified its position as a dominant force, securing the No. 7 spot in the latest AVCA preseason poll. This marks an extraordinary achievement, as the team has consistently remained within the Top 10 for an unbroken 79 weeks, spanning both preseason and weekly rankings since September 2021.
Coach Dan Meske, entering his second season, has prepared a formidable schedule for the Cardinals. Their non-conference play alone includes seven matches against teams ranked within the preseason Top 20. Furthermore, ACC rivals Pittsburgh, Stanford, SMU, and North Carolina also debut in the rankings, ensuring a competitive conference slate.
The Cardinals will commence their season on August 21st in Milwaukee, facing the defending national champions, Texas A&M, who are ranked No. 8. The following day, Louisville will compete against No. 6 Wisconsin in another challenging road contest. The team's schedule is further bolstered by matchups against other ranked ACC opponents throughout the season.
