Injury crisis hits Liverpool: Stars injured on international duty

Attacking duo Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo were both sidelined during international duty, presenting a significant challenge for the club's coaching staff. Cody Gakpo also suffered an ankle injury shortly after the international break began, impacting his club's preparations. The combined weekly wages for these two injured stars amount to £530,000, raising concerns about their availability for crucial upcoming fixtures, including a highly anticipated match against Manchester City.

Other Premier League clubs have also been affected by the international break's injury curse. Arsenal's Kai Havertz, Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes and Patrick Dorgu, Chelsea's Jimmy Gittens and Mike Penders, Aston Villa's Zion Suzuki, and Sunderland's Brian Brobbey and Dan Ballard all picked up injuries while playing for their respective countries. Despite these widespread issues, Liverpool appears to be the most financially and technically impacted club to date.
