Liverpool's Mbaye pursuit: PSG demands €200M

Liverpool is actively pursuing Paris Saint-Germain's young forward, Ibrahim Mbaye, as they seek a natural right winger to replace Mohamed Salah. Talks have already begun with Mbaye's representatives regarding a potential transfer.

However, a substantial €200 million valuation by PSG for both Mbaye and Bradley Barcola presents a major financial challenge for Liverpool, who consider the price too steep. The 18-year-old Mbaye, who has found limited starting opportunities at PSG despite being the club's youngest Champions League debutant, is expected to seek more playing time elsewhere this summer.

While other clubs like Bayer Leverkusen, FC Porto, and RB Leipzig are also linked with Mbaye, his preference reportedly lies with Liverpool. The Merseyside club might also be prioritizing a move for Bradley Barcola, potentially shifting their focus and impacting the feasibility of Mbaye's transfer.

Liverpool's current senior right-wing options are limited, with Federico Chiesa being their only established player in that role, though he has faced injury issues. The club needs to secure a natural right winger to avoid potential struggles next season, necessitating either a compromise with PSG on Mbaye's fee or exploring alternative targets.
