Lisbon Volleyball Reloads for 2026 Season

Lisbon's Blue Devils volleyball team is preparing for their 2026 campaign, seeking to continue their postseason momentum. The team experienced significant success in the previous year, including dominant playoff wins.

Coach Dana Blackburn faces the considerable task of replacing several key graduated players. Notably, Division VII Player of the Year setter Stefanee Stacey, who is now playing collegiately, and middle blocker Madelyn Marshalek, along with record-setting server Abby Ammon, have departed.

A strong group of returning veterans will provide leadership. Seniors Gionna Lenigar and libero Hannah Davis offer crucial experience, supported by juniors Alayna Householder and Addison Anderson. Sophomore Aria Reckner also returns to bolster the defense.

To fill the remaining spots, the Blue Devils will look to incoming senior Ariel Smith, juniors Bridgett Newbold and Brooklynn Klein, and junior transfers Lilly Lipply and Ella Cochran. Many players honed their skills in the Junior Olympic (JO) circuit during the offseason.

Coach Blackburn highlighted the team's commitment to mental health as a primary strength for the upcoming season, alongside their dedication to playing in JO circuits. She stressed the importance of mental and physical well-being, consistent effort, and aggressive play from every team member.

The Blue Devils will open their regular season on August 18, hosting Heartland Christian.
