Lions Bolster Defense, Part Ways with Bridgewater

The Detroit Lions have officially placed quarterback Teddy Bridgewater on the reserve/retired list as part of their recent roster adjustments. The team also waived tight end Nick Muse.
In parallel moves, the Lions have strengthened their defense by signing cornerback Ryan Cooper Jr. and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga. Ogbongbemiga, an alum of Oklahoma State, brings five years of NFL experience, having previously been with the Los Angeles Chargers and the Chicago Bears. He has recorded 66 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks in his career.
Cooper Jr., an Oregon State product, spent time on practice squads with the Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks and was part of the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets organizations. He also played in the UFL with the Birmingham Stallions this past spring, contributing 25 tackles and an interception.
